What is Membership?
- Membership is deciding to be “all in” at Grace Point.
- Membership is committing to Grace Point instead of “dating” Grace Point.
- Membership is joining the mission, belonging to the family, becoming more like Jesus in character and action.
- Membership is moving from consumer to contributor.
Membership is obeying the New Testament call to live as an accountable member of a larger body/family: “For just as the body is one and has many members…all the members of the body, though many, are one body. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it” (1 Cor. 12:12, 27).
Membership is a covenant between committed people and the leadership of Grace Point.
Our mission is simple: to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where life change can happen. In joining the Grace Point Church family, you’re not joining a static entity, you’re joining a movement of people living on mission. You’re signing up to actively advance our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus. Our mission is our way of stating Jesus’ mission for His church - the Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20 - and it guides and shapes everything we do as a church.
Grace Point is not a church of passive consumers of religious goods and services. Grace Point makes disciples instead of pleasing customers. Members are called to be active, to intentionally live out our mission. The mission is for all of us. Though Grace Point is governed by a Board and led by a team of Pastors, we want a church full of Leaders. Whether or not you hold a leadership title at Grace Point Church, we want our members to take the lead in carrying out our mission. If you become a member, this becomes your mission.
